This species is
found widely across New South Wales, South Australia, Western Australia, and
Queensland (Framenau,
Gotch & Austin, in press).
Hogna kuyani can be found in unsaturated areas of wetland vegetation, where it makes shallow, wide burrows that are concealed by sheets of web covered in mud and litter (Framenau, Gotch & Austin, in press).
