Hogna subrufa (Karsch, 1878)



N.B. Karsch (1878c)  provides only a verbal description of this species. He stresses its similarity with Hogna lacertosa (Koch, 1877). It appeas to be a large species, the cephalothorax is described as 13 mm long.

Distribution

Known from type locality, Tasmania ("Vandiemensland") (no exact location given), but also from three females found at the Gordon River, Tasmania (Museum Victoria, K8257) (pers. observation).
