Strand (1907), himself based in
Berlin, described material which was on loan from the Naturhistorische Museum
Wiesbaden. A catalogue of this museum (Rob Raven, pers. comm) did not include L.
zualella. Strand (1907)
actually identified the male as Lycosa godeffroyi L. Koch, and remarks
'Eventuell möge die Art den Namen Tar. zualella m. bekommen.' (=
'Perhaps this species may get the name Tar. zualella m.'). A fairly
vague species description!
Known only from type locality, Sydney (New South Wales).
